Community snapshot

The Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN) Community Snapshot is based on patient data and provides important information that assists with shaping and improving CALHN services.

CALHN’s Strategic Ambitions outlines our commitment to partnering with consumers and diverse communities: Our care is connected and revolves around the patient in their (and our) community.

CALHN’s community engagement approach is to strengthen relationships by partnering to create change and improve health. CALHN proactively identifies and engages with community groups and peak bodies representing the interests of community members who have specific requirements when accessing health and wellbeing services.

CALHN works in partnership with Aboriginal and or Torres Strait Islander communities to provide cultural safety while meeting their health needs.

We strive to ensure consumer health information is clear and communication mechanisms are tailored to the diversity of the community we serve.

Community connectors

Community connector meetings bring together community organisations that represent the diverse communities that CALHN serves.

We acknowledge and pay respect to the First Nations Kaurna people upon whose ancestral land the Central Adelaide local health network (CALHN) provides services.

We acknowledge the relationship and deep feelings of attachment between Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander peoples and Country, and we acknowledge the traditional owners and custodians of the many lands from which our Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander consumers travel to receive services.
