Performance data

 we have implemented across the network in 2020 and 2021 Central Adelaide LHN captures data on key performance areas and this data is made publicly available through multiple sources.

This data helps patients, consumers, carers and the community make informed decisions about their care.

CALHN’s World-class care snapshot (1 July 2020 – 31 December 2021) 

This snapshot outlines many of the systems in place to assist our multi-disciplinary workforce to understand and perform their safety and quality responsibilities and deliver safe, effective care for patients.

This World-class care snapshot celebrates our achievements and outlines the advances we have implemented across the network in 2020 and 2021 to how we work, as we continue to embed a culture of continuous safety and quality improvement.

Safety and Quality Account 2019/20 

The 2019/20 Safety and Quality Account provides patients, carers, our staff and the community with information about how safety and quality is monitored and improved throughout our health service.

It covers activities and strategies taken by CALHN to improve performance against key quality and safety measures, patient safety priorities, consumer participation and service improvements.

The report demonstrates the major role CALHN plays in the health care of so many South Australians who visit our services throughout the year and showcases a number of the improvement strategies that have had an impact on the way we deliver our care.

The Australian Institute of Health and Welfare

The Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW) develops, collects, analyses and reports information on a broad range of health and welfare issues in Australia.

This information includes data on activity (admissions), access (waiting times) and safety and quality indicators (including healthcare-associated infections).

The Department for Health and Wellbeing dashboards

The Department for Health and Wellbeing reports through a series of dashboards the status of all South Australian public hospital emergency departments, inpatient activity and elective surgery waiting lists.

In addition the network produces an annual ‘Snapshot’ each financial year which provides a highlight of its activities.
