In today’s Queen’s Birthday Honours, two CALHN clinicians were recognised for their contributions to their respective fields.
Dr Joseph Montarello was awarded a Medal (OAM) in the General Division of the Order of Australia for his service to medicine, particularly to cardiology. Dr Montarello is a member of the Heart and Lung team, and his commitment to the field of cardiology, his patients and the training and education of young doctors is an asset to all.
Dr Gabrielle Cehic was recognised as a Member (AM) in the General Division of the Order of Australia for her significant service to medicine, to nuclear oncology and to professional medical groups. Dr Cehic’s contributions to the field of nuclear medicine are considerable, and will benefit those for years to come.
It is wonderful to see their achievements recognised with these well-deserved honours.
