Diet research aiming to reduce pain in the gut

Research Pulse podcast Season 2 Episode 7

A nutrient-dense diet of whole foods can improve your health. But things are more complicated for people with ulcerative colitis, a form of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) which can cause painful inflammation in the digestive system.

In this episode, we speak to Dr Alice Day about her work investigating the best diet for people with IBD, which can be a lifelong debilitating condition with no cure.

About the researcher

Dr Alice Day is a post-doctoral researcher with the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Translational Research Group at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Basil Hetzel Institute in Adelaide, and holds an adjunct role as a clinical dietitian.
